rear sub

>>>would running a 10" JBL sub in the rear channels interfere with the bass coming from my 12" Paradigm sub in the front?<<<

The audio for the two rear channels in a DTS or Dolby Digital configuration are usually independent signals.

If your sub accepts independent left/right inputs and feeds the high passed signals to the left/right speakers independently, I would call it a benefit. The affect would basically be the same as having full range rear channel speakers, instead of the limited range rear channel speakers you now have where frequencies below a certain crossover point are more than likely sent to the .1/sub channel.
