problem with Sharp 64LHP4000 HD TV

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

System works great with all program sources (analog & digital cable, DVD, Direct TV) until I go to view a HD program with either Direct TV or Comcast cable.
I get a blue line from top to bottom along the very far left side of the screen (right along the edge of the screen)otherwise the picture is beautiful.....
Contacted Sharp and the cust srvc rep I talked to could not help me.
Was told to contact the local service center. Made the call have not heard back yet (holidays I guess).....
Has anyone seen this before and if so was it corrected and if it was how was the correction done? Thought maybe there was a way to move the whole viewing area over to the left just a bit but there is nothing in the owners manual to do this......
Set is about 3 years old now.......have had no other problems with it....
