Re: Setting crossover frequency

Using just the line level inputs and not the internal crossover in the sub. Do you have stereo L/R or a summed Mono subwoofer output??? If you have stereo I would run the subs in stereo. Set the mains for small center small +subs and try crossing over at 80Hz. That way you have a pair of fullrange speakers for music and the 2 Paradigms should be able to handle the LFE no sweat. Just a suggestion. With summed/mono you could just use both subs off the LFE speakers small. With either set-up going above 80Hz is tricky because it makes it easier to "hear" the subs location. So keep it as low as you can to get a good blend with the rest of your speakers. With the crossover adjustmant on the subs start at 150 hz and work down until it tightens up with no holes. You could also use the high level inputs and the crossovers in the subs. Again you could do stereo subs with the speaker/high level inputs but you would be using the crossover in the subs. Depends on how flexible the sub crossover is usually you have more control in the recievers bass management. You have several possibilities try them and see which you like best. The manual will surely help you out. There is no right and wrong its what works in your room and what you like.
