Philips or Hitachi Flat Panel

I was in a Tweeter the other day and saw a STUNNING dvd on a
Philips 32" flat panel. I think it was a 32fp9954. It was truly 3D etc... I haven't seen this sort of display from anything else, flat panel or crt...I also haven't seen it on the other Philips of the same model. Just wondering if anyone has info on this as I'm looking at either the Philips 37" 9965 or a Hitachi or a Fujitsu. The Hitachi seems to have better color and blacks on sd and hd viewing than the others though. any thoughts would be most appreciated...
