How much $ to beat picture from Pioneer DV563a?

Can't believe the video out of this thing. Got it yesterday for $150 from BB. Picture is equal or better than my Marantz DV8400 which kicked the crap out of my Denon 1600. How much do I have to spend to get a lot better picture?
