Re: EAD Theatermaster Signature 8 / 8000 / 8000 pro...what are the differences?

Hi,
I own a 8800pro and am selling my old Signature 8. The only difference between the Signature and the 8000 pro is the 8000pro has volume and source bottoms on the front panel. From everyone I have talked to, including EAD, they are the same inside and sound the same.
The 8000 unit does not have the up graded circuit boards and other stuff that the pro and Signature units have. The 8000 does not sound as good, and was a much less expensive unit. I think they can still be up-graded but I don't know the cost.
Anyway the Signature is the most musical, easy to set up, processor I have heard or owned.
The 8800 pro has balanced outputs for all the channels where the Signature and 8000 pro only have balanced for the Front L&R, that is why I bought the 8800 pro. I run Ayre amps and they sound better run balanced.
Mine Sign. 8 is listed on Audiogon now for $2,100.00 and comes with the $300 up-graded analog pass through cable that sound much, much better than the stock one. Let me know and maybe we can work out a deal. You can check out the photo's of the unit on Audiogon.
By the way for some reason my e-mail has been blocking e-mails from people e-mailing me through Audiogon, you can call me at my office if you like (763)512-4915 / 8-4 central time
