Another center speaker question

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

Opposite to the phantom question, has anyone tried a 4-speaker L/C/R setup, or the Goldmund system or something similar?
Seems like this would be an advantage for someone who has one of those giant RPTV "boxes" in their HT room.
