Why does DVD video NOT have a common standard like CD? Why does DVD have complex, illogical, bogus, menue formats? There is no consistant way of playing a different disks on different machines. DVD is like using Windows! No logic. Why can't DVD be like using a Macintosh? Macintosh is well thought out.
A DVD title that I try to play: "The Best of TDK" Basically a classical, opera and ballet DVD video. The problem? Track numbers listed 1 -29. Sounds very simple right? NO! On my Denon 2800 DVD player, it lists it NOT track 1 -29, no, some silly chapters etc. You can't for example imput 18. Nothing happens except this stupid "hand" icon stating "YOU CAN'T DO THAT!!!!
Needless to say, DVD VIDEO is a BOGUS FORMAT that adhears to NO common RULES! The play button is not play, the enter button is play! No wonder video is a rarely played format in this house!
