Home Video Asylum

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

Do you still have the speakers hooked up?

How close are they to the display if they are? Does the problem go away if you move the speakers farther away from the display?

I'd watch it for a few days to see if it clears up on its own. If not, a service visit is what you may need. Then again, do you want to keep it? I have an Emerson 27" Direct View set that still shows a decent picture (it's about 14 years old now, my 4 year old is using it in his room), but if it acted up -- in the garbage it would go.

By the way, yours is a Direct View (single picture tube) display.
