Re: Sony 850, 200 DVD/CD changer?

Hey Andy,

I have the 850 also. I love the sounds that come out, but my 7700 sounds a bit more clearer(but I'll take a changer anyday for one sitting listening). I'm curious, have you tried using the "Wide Range" filter for stereo? I don't know if this filter in unrestrictive for playback or just adds an echo or reverb affect to the music. However, the manuel states that with higer fidelity speakers the sound will be more "lifelike" under the "widerange" setting.
This is my second changer and I can say that the human factors of the 850 are all messed up. You have to turn on the TV to see whats on disk explorer. When disk explorer is on, music isn't. The memory for the picture icons is low so when it loads it takes loooong. The CDtext is a major step down from other models and no longer displays the songs titles. And last, one of my DVDs got jammed and it got banged up in there.
It has some pluses but they are normal things that a CD/DVD player should have.
