-this stuff really dampens minor problems like you are talking about. This stuff is wonderful to put in between speakers and solid stands too. God is in the details and this little tweak should help your detail problem and not be as ugly as the blanket fix. If you use "Blu-Tak" it probably will cost around $8/sheet. Similar stuff (think poster putty to hold posters to walls without tacks) is at all hardware/wal-mart type stores much cheaper. I think sonically they are the same but I'm sure someone will say that the Blu-Tak is better. YMMV.
