In most receivers and pre-amps, if you set the sub to "No" in the menus the LFE gets routed to the main speakers, including the main pre-outs. In some cases, you may have to set a menu option to send the LFE to the main speakers.

Since LFE can go up to 120Hz (in theory), your setup could have the LFE being split or shared between the subwoofer and the main speakers. There are varying opinions as to whether this is a good idea or not. Someone who is mostly interested in music might prefer your setup, while someone who is primarily into HT might prefer using the sub-out connection.
