New Series of Sony Wega XBR Televisions?

I went shopping for a new TV yesterday, looked at the picture on a lot of models, and decided that I liked the Sony Wega XBR 250 model the best. The owner of the store told me that I should not get the TV now, but should wait a month because Sony was coming out with an XBR 300, at the same price, that has a much better picture and will be "fully HDTV-ready". He said that he had seen it and that it was so much better that if I bought the TV today and came back into the store and saw the new one, that I would be both disappointed in the 250 and angry because Sony would likely offer a big price incentive to get rid of the 250 series. This dealer has given honest technical and "wait-for-the-rebate/sale" advice on other products in the past. Has anyone else seen or heard about this? Thanks.
