arcam and b&w: good match?

My friend is shopping for a 5.1 home theater setup. He wants to get the Nautilus 804's for the front l/r speakers, and will probably purchase from the Nautilus line for the center and surrounds.
He is also considering the Arcam Alpha 10 with DAVE board and the matching 3 channel power amp.
Any commnents on this combo, both for 2 channel listening, and 5.1 home theater? The source (for audio and video) will be a Sony DVD player--for the near term at least.
His musical tastes are fairly modern: rock, techno, some jazz as well.
