i had a 555 driving my 2c's and when i upgraded to surround sound i started with a 125w/ch carver 5 ch amp and was unable to produce the spl's i wanted w\o clipping the amp- i since upgraded to the parasound 2205 and have had no problems.

even with the "power-steering" cap of the carver in 2-channel mode it was way underpowered (i have a fairly large room)

i too have the vandy center and rears- the center sounds great; i don't have my rears wall mounted yet- they sit on a high shelf behing the listening position which works ok.

i also have the v2w sub which integrates well with the 2c's- i'm hearing low bass that i didn't know existed on cd's before.

by the way i use a b& ref20 for a processor- it does have true analog bypass although i don't use it- i use a cd transport and the dacs in the ref20
