The Canadian speakers have a good rep (PSB, Energy, Paradigm, Sound Dynamics).
I find the big problem with Klipsh and JBL (and Yamaha's) is that they
are marketed via mass market outlets primamrily. Thus it is difficult
to get a good hearing. I managed to get a demo at J&R the other day,
and I really liked the JBL Studio series (even with the tweet poked
in on the one of the pairs). I preferred them to the Klipsh SB5's,
in that environment. I also think they look way cool in the light wood
finish!
