I bought a preamp/processor that specifically keeps the analog stereo input as analog and plays like a high quality music system. When the input is DD5.1 for HT then it goes digital and assumes five speakers/sub arrangement. One system, no hassle. Optimized for music quality but capable of REALLY good sound for movies. I am anticipating DD5.1 multichannel music soon too and will only have to buy the player (SACD or DVDA).
