Know this isn't one of your choices, but wanted to suggest you give the Proceed AVP a chance if it's in your price range. I really liked the analog pass through, and also found it was quite user friendly. In my case, I also was swayed by its ability to hook up to my Citation Dual Drive dipoles, which is very rare, given that the Citation line has been cancelled (or, at least, that's what my old Citation dealer told me last month).

Oh, one other thing. Might also check out which of the preamp/pros have Dolby Ex, and of course, 5.1 analog input capabilities. The Proceed doesn't, but its been out for a couple of years.
