had the same problem- here's a cheap fix

go to radio shack and buy a little box called something like a video source selector. It allows you to hook up to 4 video sources to this box and then have one set of outputs to the TV. It's a simple little mechanical switcher. It costs around $25. I know other companies like SONY make the boxes which accomidate S-video (if needed) for around $50 @ Best Buy.

Eventually I plan on buying a new TV with component inputs and multiple source inputs, but in the meantime this little box keeps me from crawling behind the TV everytime I want to switch sources.
