Can someone explain the moire problem with Toshiba TVs?

I am looking to buy a 36" television, and Toshiba seems to offer good picture quality and features (component video inputs) for the money. However, many of the reviews over at audioreview mention a moire problem, yet I never was able to find an explanation of the problem. Does anyone know what this is? Also, is there a solution in the works from Toshiba?
