i was searching for a universal remote to control absolutly everything that i own. such as my reciever,tv,dvd,and cable and i just baught a sony rmav 2000 12 and it has something called a learning capability.
it can learn any remote function that uses infared. sucha as cable or in some cases fireplaces and curtains. it will control them all.
it is great but it has a hefty price tag on it.... the only drawback...
