need advice on backprojecting TV

Seeing on a show the latest Hitachi and Sony Backprojecting TVs i find that the picture was really good and that you unlike earlier versions could have good picture without have the room in complete darkness. Reading a HT mag they suggest the new Sony 61Â´ the best availably backp. TV. It is sold for 3000Â£ in UK. Any comments on that TV and any other recommendations? Im new to this. Should I wait for flat LCD TV to come down in price?
