Re: Anybody have experience with Golden Theater GTX-1 ?

I just recently bought a GTX-1 "store demo" and more than happy with it. I had heard about the glitches that some have reported but at the price I paid I felt I could take the chance on getting a glitchless unit. Well my gamble paid off in a big way. I was using a Sony30ES as a pre/pro and the GTX-1 is quite an improvment. It has renewed my appreciation for music by adding a level of SMOOTH detail that just was not there before. My system is decidedly H/T biased and it performs beautifully there as well. So far the only problem I have had is the mentioned lock-up issue. Also I dont much care for the remote as I could not find the code for my dvd player(Sony 550) but I have a Pronto so I can work around that.
If you can get the GTX at a good price, and can check it out before you buy, then get it. If nothing else, you will have a great sounding pre/pro to listen to while you save to move up into the much higher end processors.
My only complaint about the whole ordeal is that with my greater enjoyment of music, now I wonder what I am missing by not having a really good two channel system!
