D-
the Outlaw 1050 is a good choice! I have had one for about a month and a half now and I think it is great! I just added a Pioneer DV-C503 5-disc DVD changer ($279 at Rex A/V locally, no affiliation) and am really enjoying it both for DVDs and CDs (a definite improvement over my 10-year old Onkyo). It will also play CD-R and pass 96/24 signals from DADs - I don't really know how much of a benefit that will really be since availability of these is limited and it looks to be a dead format, but it is nice to have the option. For just over $900 total, I think it's a great entry level setup.
