Just fyi...all a THX label "says" about a receiver/preamp is what it does under the hood; it's not a tool to measure build quality or reliability. The manufacturers pay a rather large royalty to Lucasfilm for rights to slap a THX label on their products...so in some cases, you might be getting an inexpensive THX machine. But they almost certainly had to cut corners somewhere to keep it at that price point and still have enough to pay the royalty to Lucas and make a profit. This post isn't meant to be a chastise; just wanted to clarify the THX story to those who are misinformed (as I was).
