I doubt you can get a widescreen TV or a projector for $2000. For DVD's bigger is better as most have a widescreen aspect ratio. For that money, your best bet is probably an analog rear projection set. I certainly wouldn't buy a projector I didn't have a chance to audition first. I'd also want to get a TV from a local supplier in case it needed service or had to be returned.
