Video signals

212.179.79.2

About 4 years ago I purchased a Philips 29" 100hz TV in England (PAL). I moved to the US and took it with me. I was surprised to find that it worked OK with my NTSC VCR, when connected via video out/video in sockets (composite video - I think).

I will be in the middle east for the next 2 years working on a project and my stuff is about to be shipped from Boston to Israel. I just bought new DVD, Receiver, Speakers, CD, etc, but I'm trying to figure out if my TV is gonna work with the DVD (Region 1 and all my library is region 1 discs).

I'm figuring that if I connect it the same way I connected my VCR it will work. However I can't find any info on how all the video signals are encoded. The DVD player has the following outputs:

Component Video (Y, Cr, Cb) Output x 1
S-Video (S2 Compatible) x 2
Composite Video Output x 2

Can anyone tell me if any of these are compatible with the inputs on the TV (S-Video and Composite, I think) bearing in mid that it is a PAL TV and NTSC DVD?

I would appreciate a quick answer, otherwise I have to buy a new TV
in USA this week before my goods are shipped.
