For starters, check the video setting on the TV. My Sony will allow different video settings for each video input. Maybe the video input you have selected was set to a B&W setting or somehow the color setting was turned way down (no color would make the picture seem B&W as my Sony has this capability). If this is not the case, try using a different S-Video cable. The one you're using may have an open in the chroma (color) side. Still not fixed? The dreaded trip to the service center.
