A few years ago, I did the opposite (moved from Europe to US). I took my PAL TV with me and used it with NTSC VCR (via composite video cable) and it worked perfectly. these days most stuff had S-Video and Component video, which I guess would also work, as there is no NTSC/PAL encoding. So you can buy a projector in US and use it OK in Europe with one of these inputs
