I don't think that they've integrated those technologies, although if you have a computer with a video input you could DIY. I wouldn't use zip drives because of their instability as an archiving resource (if you write to them too many times they will likely corrupt). CD-R would probably be a better solution, perhaps using a dvx or mpeg3 compression. An extra hard drive devoted to recording shows off the connection, then burn it to CD (or DVD-RAM in Apple's case). I actually don't know why no major companies (such as Apple) have set up a program for doing this. TiVo like products seem to be the closest option.

I'm getting off topic though, I just wanted to give you an option to a VCR when it comes to recording your favorite show.
