Hello to all, I've been looking for a high-end progressive-scan DVD player and I think I've found it in the Arcam DV88 (of their DiVa series) and the Arcam DV27 (of their FMJ series). I'm interested to know if anyone out there has experience with any of these players and can give me information on their expected video and audio performance.
The DV88 is an interlaced player, but in May Arcam will provide a progressive-scan upgrade using the Sil/DVDO503 de-interlacing engine.
And the DV27 will be introduced in May with the Sil/DVDo chip built-in. Does anyone know the difference between these two players and why I should go with either one of them as opposed to one of the Japanese mass market progressive-scan players that will be 1/3rd to 1/5th the price of the Arcams.
