Since no one else has answered I will take a shot at some of your questions.

2) I would put your VCR & TV on the two unswitched outlets. Unless you want to turn on your reciever and turn on all the other equipment from the PowerCenter. But I guess that refers to #1. On a Panamax which I own you plug in the reciever to one of the always on outlets and then use the extra plug & put it on the switched outlet on the back of the reciever. When you turn on the reciever it turns on the rest of the Panamax. I am guessing that the Monster is similar.

3) If the meter is accurate then you are getting 122 volts on your line. This is OK. 120 is the "ideal" normal.

Go back to whoever sold you the thing & have a chat with them.
