hi,
you just want shielding and decent construction. The other thing to look for is a bit of flexibility. A stiff s-video cable will destroy itself ( if you fidget with your system, prob not a problem if you leave it be ).
I get Monster 500 cable simply because the local guys stock it. It costs $40-50, you could prob save a couple with a non advertised brand.
