It is not as clear-cut as you make out.

â€¦â€¦ I am not going to write reams of information about the commercial relationships between Fujitsu â€“Hitachi â€“ Panasonic â€“ Matsushita. â€“ and others.

Suffice to say, IMHO in a side by side comparison of the current models between the Fujitsu and the Panasonic of the SAME size I much preferred the Fujitsu.

Like I said, I own lots of Panasonic gear and have a Panasonic Plasma in my bedroom system. When their displays look the best I buy them. I have found that on a few occasions over the last 6 or 7 years that the Panasonics were NOT the best Plasma Picture available. However, invariably they bring out models that are the top of the tree.
I am sure you would agree that in the world of Plasma nothing stays the best for very long!
