1080p input

Do you need to spend that kind of money right now? I wouldn't buy a display that didn't accept and display a 1920x1080p input. The current Sony's display 1920x1080, but they won't accept a 1080p input. The next gen players will be hitting the streets in a few months and the better ones will be able to output a 1080p signal. Sure they'll be able to output an interlaced signal (1080i), but why add more processing to the signal and how good will those "down-rezzing" chips be?

You also might want to read some of the SXRD threads at AVS Forum in the Rear Projection Displays section.
