Video switching for TV

64.81.164.70

Ok, I understand Video switching, route your signal through the reciever, and when you switch between video 1, video 2 etc your tv will display the signal your reciever.(right?) So what I am wondering is can I run the monitor out on my TV to the reciever, and do the same? The TV I have just has the yellow RCA type monitor out. It does have S-Video in. I'm looking at the Panasonic XR55. I'm also looking at this Onkyo TX-LR552 that says it has HDMI Video Upconversion, does this make the difference. I'm shooting for WAP on this one.

Thanks
Scott
