Re: Denon players / DVD-900 vs. new DVD-556

What kind of TV do you have and what kind of inputs can it take? This will make a difference.

If your TV can only take component analogue, then I'd say the Denon DVD-1600 or Panasonic RP-82 would be hard to beat (used $175 to $250?)

If the TV can do high resololution and can take a digital input (DVI, HDMI),...then I'd say the Oppo DVD player is the best performance value.
