Ok that answer is better..So let me see If I get this. My DVD play is connected from its coax digital output to my Denon AV Receiver's digital input with it own internal D/A converters, which is a 6.1 A/V Receiver, but if I select doby 2.0 on the dvd menu then that is what will be sent through the digital output and if I select dolby
5.1 then this is what will go to the digital output. I know that statement is about as clear as mud, but I thought the audio selection on the dvd menu 2.0, or 5.1 was important if you were using the players internal decoder..I learn something new everyday.
