I'm thinking about getting into home theatre. I already have two excellent stereos and do not need to rely on my home theatre for two channel sound reproduction. The room in which a home theatre would be placed is small -- a third floor room about 13' by 17', with a low cathedral ceiling (starting about 4' above the long wall, sloping up at 60 degrees to 8', flat for 4' or so and then sloping down again at 60 degrees to the 4' line on the other wall). Ear-deafening volumes are not needed -- I'd rather the money was spent on resolution than volume. There is a single 15 amp line powering the room.
Imagine you had $7,500 to spend on products at current street prices, not MSRP. How would you blow the wad?
