Splitting the center output should not be a problem. You should have volume control in your pre/pro if the volume should be lower. You won't have any way (besides mounting distance to ear) to adjust the volume of each speaker however as your amps don't have adjustment. Your preamp should be fine with the split. Two centers may improve the sound, no guarantees. I'd try before you buy if at all possible.
