Sears Sony Blu-ray demo

Out Christmas shopping again today, and one of the local Sears stores had a really nice Blu-ray demo set-up; just like the ones you see at Best Buy and I'm sure at Circuit City, only this one wasn't using a Sony 40"XBR 3LCD nor a Samsung LCD unit, but a 50" SXRD XBR LCos set and the picture was stunning, I couldn't stop looking to see if I could pick up any visual anomalies, glitches or artifacts or anything; nada! I was intranced, after staring intently while watching preview from Ultraviolet, Open Season, Corpse Bride, Superman etc..., when I asked the sales guy how much they were asking for the BDPS1; because I thought that maybe they might be offering a promotional price; yeah, he said; "list price", I don't think so. Now that I've have my 60" SXRD XBR I'm ready for the player; I knew this would happen. I'm not sure I can restrain myself. I buy all of my equipment from a buddy of mine that I've known for at least 16 years at Sound Advice/Tweeter and I'm sure he would work up a sweet deal on the Sony unit especially as hungry as they are for a fat Christmas sales bonus (I'm guessing around $749ish)and I'm not sure I can wait...hey I've got a 60 day trial period if all else fails, right? I most likely wouldn't return it...
