I think for the moment, PS/3 sales have genuinely increased, and in the USA, we may see another increase on Sunday when the big Sunday newspaper advertisments come out. But can the sales levels be sustained? I don't know. I think if you asked folks in this country what electronic devices they wanted to buy this week, the list would include:
Flat panel TV of some sort
iPod
iPhone
Nintendo DS
Nintendo Wii
Notebook computer
But this (Saturday) morning at EB Games, I had no trouble getting a new PS/3 from stock, while Nintendo's Wii still sells out quickly.
