RE: DVD HD DVD & Blu Ray are a failure

I own the toshiba a2 and the sony bdp1. the sony is a bit slow to respond to the remote but is an excellent up converting dvd player and is by far the best sounding dvd player i have ever owned (last was pioneer elite 79) and btw the sony cost LESS than the pioneer. The sony just blows its doors off. The toshiba is just average as a dvd player but what do you expect at this price point? You can pick both up for less that $1000. So where is the beef? Why all this complaining and discussion about the different formats? I am very pleased with both players and could just care less about which format wins loses or shows. Many formats have died over the years. Just run down to best lie and plunk down the ole worn out plastic, kick back and enjoy! Both players and both formats are much better than the average dvd.
