marantz sr4002 vs other brands

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

I'm looking for a receiver for both HT and music. I probable will be in TV mode 80% of the time but I don't want music to sound like crap.

Seems like there's a huge gap between the consumer brands and the entry-level audiophile brands like Rotel, NAD, Cambridge Audio, etc. To get similar features seems to run two or three times as much.

I've heard Marantz is pretty good for music compared to the other brands. The SR4002 seems about the right level of features I need.

Anyone familiar with this or similar models that can post some opinions, review, comparisons.

This will drive a set up B&W 600 series speakers.
