I recently purchased the 42" 700U 1080p model and could not be happier.

I'm an audio guy so I relied on the advice of the salesmen at different stores..bad bad idea! I ended up trying (purchased, set up at home then returned) two LCD sets from other manufacturers and was never happy. I found out during this process that my wife is a closet videophile and was tough to please. She was by far the biggest critic and is totally unbiased to technology or brands...if it looked bad she said so and wanted it returned.

Finally seeing a neighbors Pany plasma I gave it one more shot. I purchased the 700u after doing even more research. I am very happy with this set and it even surprised the wife with its picture quality.
