Excellent article. I need to study it carefully. I am now hesitant to but the Sharp LCD because there is much disatisfaction over in the AVS forum. Wife is pushing for the Sony SXRD. I am wondering if I should just buy the Samsung 50" 720p DLP. It looks terrific and I can get it locally for just under $1200 and in two or three years maybe the SHARP or some other LCD will be better- no banding- verticle and horizontal. Thanks again
