hope this isn't OT...advice re a system

TVs, VCRs, DVD players, Home Theater systems and more.

As usual, a friend sent this link to me and asked whether they should get this surround system, all in one. She wrote, "we can't afford Bose." They have just purchased a new place and have a large hd tv.

if not, which one of these is suitable? I haven't been over yet, so I don't know size of room. I know they usually watch sports on tv and maybe watch a few movies.
