It seems there are a few bugs/problems that Denon needs to address. There are 2 threads running at AVS, one for the owners (an informative Q&A list appears at the top of this thread):

I had high hopes for this player: done right, it would have been the best stand-alone Blu-ray and DVD player you could have purchased for digital or analog setups. Alas, some of the issues may not be fixed due to technical and/or physical limitations.
