-Is the receiver Dolby/DTS/5.1/7.1 ?
-Are you wanting surround for movies and music, music only, movies only?
-Do you have any speakers at all for this system?
-Is this a primary system replacing your 2ch rig, or a separate system?
-Are you wanting recommendations for speakers, or locations, TV type, speaker type, or?
-What size is your room....
Etc, etc. Hard to help if we don't know what you want or what you have.
