Acoustic absorber panels

For my listening room (All Magnepan planar, 16X27 feet), would the stiff fiberglass panels work okay? Would 1" thick be sufficient, or would I need 2"? Or is fiberglass not the way to go? Budget is limited and I found some DIY fiberglass ones.
